pre-war German military K98 ammunition pouch (Patronentasche) is a textbook, highly customized example manufactured in 1937. Constructed from high-quality chocolate brown pebbled leather, the reverse side of the pouch features a crisp, deep manufacturer stamping for Blume & Brenner, Müllrose Bez. Ffm. 1937. The historical significance of this pouch is exceptionally strong, showcasing a clear L.B.A.B. 37 depot acceptance mark (Luftwaffe Bekleidungsamt Berlin, 1937) inside the center pocket. Furthermore, the interior top flap retains a highly desirable blue military unit ink stamp reading L.d.L.N.S., identifying its issue to the elite Lehr-Division der Luftnachrichten-Schule.Adding to its personal combat history, the right compartment preserves an original pre-war period paper name label with a distinct diamond border, reading Kanonier Wäsch, indicating service within a Luftwaffe flak or artillery unit. The pouch remains in beautiful overall cosmetic condition with all internal dividers fully present and the leather remaining very supple. The only notable defect is a minor tear at the adjustment hole of the central closure strap; however, the strap remains fully intact with its original aluminum stud and the issue does not affect overall display value.
