M24 Stielhandgranate Wooden Handle - RR 803 1940 Marked .An original wartime wooden handle (Stiel) for the iconic Model 24 Stielhandgranate (Stick Grenade). The wooden shaft is deeply and clearly heat-stamped near the base with the manufacturer code and year: RR 803 1940, indicating production by the firm Richard Rinker GmbH in Menden in the year 1940.This handle is remarkably complete and retains its original steel threaded end caps. Crucially, the lower screw cap houses the original white porcelain pull ring (Abreißperle), which still features remnants of the original textile pull cord attached.ConditionWood: The wooden shaft remains solid and robust with a beautiful natural grain and a highly legible, deep maker stamping.Metal Components: The steel threaded fittings show authentic ground-find patina and oxidation. The lower metal screw cap is present but displays some period damage/wear as shown in the photographs.Pull Mechanism: The original porcelain doughnut-shaped bead is intact and complete with a fragment of its original cord.Collector's Note An excellent, fully attributed replacement piece or display item, perfect for completing an inert M24 grenade head or for a combat field equipment display.
