WW2 German M31 Splinter Zeltbahn - Unique FJ Prym Snap Repair. A heavily combat-used, uncleaned, and 100% original World War II German M31 Splinter Camouflage Shelter Quarter (Zeltbahn 31). This piece exhibits incredible combat character and tells a true frontline story through its extensive field wear and authentic period repairs.Most notably and uniquely, a blue "Prym" brand steel snap button—unmistakably salvaged from a Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) helmet chin strap or tactical bandolier—has been period-installed into the edge binding during a field modification. This is an exceptional, never-before-seen veteran modification that strongly links this specific shelter quarter to paratrooper field use.The canvas displays a wonderful, untouched two-tone contrast between the distinct summer (light) and autumn (dark) splinter camouflage patterns. It remains entirely uncleaned and salty, showing a few missing zinc/aluminium dish buttons, scattered minor tears, and authentic combat field-stamped repairs. The original central adjustment tension cord is still present. One corner aluminium grommet eyelet is torn from heavy field tension, adding to its genuine battlefield appearance.
