WWII German DKE38 Radio "Goebbels-Schnauze" - Roland Brandt Berlin - Original Cord & PlugAn outstanding, highly authentic textbook example of the iconic Third Reich period DKE38 (Deutscher Kleinempfänger 1938) propaganda radio, commonly known as the "Goebbels-Schnauze". This specific piece was manufactured under state contract by the highly desirable and scarce firm Roland Brandt (Berlin), featuring their crisp factory logo centrally on the rear panel.The dark brown bakelite housing is in beautiful, collector-grade condition, showcasing a magnificent deep gloss with absolutely no cracks, no fractures, and no chips missing. Two small vintage holes have been neatly drilled into the side panel during the period or immediate post-war era, a classic contemporary modification for routing an auxiliary antenna or ground wire. The front controls feature the central tuning wheel and the left bakelite knob; the small right-side fine-tuning knob is currently missing.Crucially, the radio retains its completely original wartime power cable and authentic round bakelite two-prong plug, a rare survival. The original cardboard rear backing board (Rückwand) remains completely intact, undamaged, and highly legible with crisp white text detailing the circuit layouts and voltage requirements. A fantastic, honest, and untouched piece of WWII German homefront and social-political history, perfect for display or restoration.
