Complete M30 Gas Mask Set – Specially Manufactured for Luftschutz – 1939 Reissue/Recycled Filter – WaA Stamped & Named. a complete German gas mask set. This high-class set features the heavy-duty military M30 variant (Model 1930), which was specifically manufactured and issued for the Luftschutz. The mask is in excellent, supple condition and is ink-stamped on the interior explicitly indicating its manufacture/issue for the Luftschutz organization, along with the WaA (Waffenamt) inspection mark and dated 1939.Unique historical detail: The filter shows fascinating evidence of period reissue and recycling. It features a very early original WaA inspection stamp, but has been officially over-stamped and re-dated 6.4.1939 when it was recycled from older military stocks to fulfill this special Luftschutz contract. The filter still retains its original 1939 paper instructional wrap-around label in great condition.The corrugated steel carrying canister (Gasmaskenbüchse) retains nearly all of its original field-green paint and comes complete with both of its original canvas carrying straps fully intact. Furthermore, the set is uniquely named to the original owner/bearer, adding fantastic provenance to this untouched piece of history.
