1934 Cavalry Medic Bag

Rare 1934 Dated WWII German Cavalry Medical Bag (Sanitätstasche für Berittene) – E.G. Leuner Bautzen – Partly Filled. A scarce, early-production German military medical pouch specifically designed for Cavalry and mounted/motorized units (Sanitätstasche für berittene Einheiten).

However, due to the sheer rarity and historical significance of this specific textbook cavalry bag, I am making a well-deserved exception. This is not an everyday field medic pouch; it is a highly sought-after variant that rarely surfaces on the market.Construction & Condition Details:Material: Crafted from heavy, robust brown saddle leather.

Features a unique double-compartment design with built-in, fixed galvanized zinc linings. Both lids still close perfectly straight and seal the zinc compartments nicely. Please note the following typical period wear: two of the small closure straps are broken (one on the top compartment, one on the bottom compartment).Hanging Loops: Crucially, the bag still retains its original dual leather hanging loops at the top used for saddle mounting. One of these loops is broken but remains completely intact with the bag. These loops are notoriously missing from surviving examples, making their presence a huge plus. Beautifully and deeply stamped on the reverse with the desirable early-war maker mark: E.G. Leuner 1934 Bautzen.

Interior & Contents: Both lids still retain their original paper content labels (Inhalts-Etiketten), which remain fully legible and intact.
