WWII German Wehrmacht Jäger Sleeve Insignia - Distinct Yellow Stem Manufacturer Variant
An exceptional, original German WWII sleeve insignia (Ärmelabzeichen) for light infantry personnel (Jägertruppe), introduced in October 1942. This vertically oval badge features a textbook machine-embroidered design depicting three green oak leaves. This specific piece is a highly interesting, documented manufacturer variant, characterized by a distinct yellow embroidered stem (instead of the more common brown variant) and a subtly darker green shade to the leaves and woolen base cloth. The entire design is beautifully enclosed by a prominent silver-gray simulated twisted rope border.
Recovered directly from a recently discovered wartime German tailor’s archive (Schneidernachlass), the patch is in pristine, mint warehouse condition. The woolen base cloth is completely fresh, clean, and 100% free from moth holes or storage wear. A very nice opportunity for insignia collectors to add a textbook factory variation to their collection.
Please note: This item is sold per individual insignia. We have a total of 2 identical patches of this specific manufacturer variant available from this same archive. Ordering one patch will not set this product listing to "reserved", as multiple quantities remain in stock.
