Early Wehrmacht Aluminum Mess Kit M31 Mint

Unissued Early-Pattern Wehrmacht Aluminum Mess Kit M31 (Kochgeschirr 31) - Mint Depot Condition

This is a beautiful, flawlessly preserved example of an early-pattern World War II German Wehrmacht M31 mess kit (Kochgeschirr 31). Belonging to the highly desirable pre-to-early-war production phase, this textbook example is constructed entirely from lightweight, premium-grade aluminum—including both the main body, the lid, and the correct aluminum lid-handle bracket. The entire set retains virtually 100% of its original, matte olive-drab/feldgrau factory paint with beautifully preserved bare-aluminum borders along the lid's rim, and displays no burn marks, dents, or signs of field use.
Adding significant interest for specialized equipment collectors, both components are completely unmarked and undated. This highly specific lack of manufacturer codes or procurement stamps, combined with its pristine, flawless physical condition, strongly implies that this set represents an untouched factory-surplus or depot piece that never officially entered active field distribution. Perfectly matching in color, patina, and wear, this outstanding aluminum M31 mess kit functions smoothly and represents a premier, hard-to-upgrade specimen for any advanced Wehrmacht field gear collection.
