WWII German Heer M36 Gefreiter Sleeve Rank Chevron – Uniform Removed (Schneider Archive)

An original, textbook WWII German Army (Heer) sleeve rank chevron (Armwinkel) indicating the rank of Gefreiter (Private First Class). The insignia features a single V-shaped band of bright silver-grey NCO tress executed in the classic, distinct Heer diamond-weave pattern. This is neatly mounted onto a dark-green (Flaschengrün) M36-style woolen triangular backing. This chevron is in honest, moderately combat-used condition and was carefully tunic-removed. It is void of any backing material, exactly as it was ripped or snipped from the field blouse.

Note: This piece originates directly from a recently discovered wartime German tailor's archive (Schneider-Bestand), which contained an extensive hoard of combat-worn and unissued uniform insignia alongside period repair thread.
