WWII German Luftwaffe Gefreiter Sleeve Rank Chevron – Mint / Unissued (Schneider Archive)

An original, textbook WWII German Air Force (Luftwaffe) sleeve rank chevron (Armwinkel) for the rank of Gefreiter (Private First Class). The insignia consists of a single V-shaped band of bright silver-grey NCO tress, displaying the correct, distinct Luftwaffe dotted-weave pattern. This is factory-mounted onto a crisp, blue-grey (Fliegerblau) woolen triangular backing.
This specific piece is in flawless, unissued mint condition and has never been sewn onto a uniform. The woolen edges are raw and sharp, exactly as left by the wartime tailor. This chevron stems directly from the recently discovered German tailor's archive (Schneider-Bestand). An immaculate, textbook example that is impossible to upgrade.
