WWII German Heer M36 Stabsgefreiter Sleeve Rank Chevron – Fine Tailor-Made Unissued Condition (Schneider Archive)

An original, textbook WWII German Army (Heer) sleeve rank chevron (Armwinkel) for the rank of Stabsgefreiter (Administrative Corporal). The insignia features a double V-shaped band of bright silver-grey NCO tress with the correct Heer diamond-weave pattern, beautifully centered around a machine-embroidered pip (rank star). These elements are mounted onto a dark-green (Flaschengrün) M36-style woolen backing. This specific piece is in excellent, unissued condition. Close examination of the reverse reveals fine, highly detailed hand-stitching executed by a period uniform tailor, attaching the tress bands with absolute precision. The back also shows minor glue/paper residue from wartime sample-book storage. This chevron originates directly from the recently discovered German tailor's archive (Schneider-Bestand).
