An original, textbook WWII German Waffen-SS sleeve rank chevron (Armwinkel) indicating the rank of SS-Sturmmann (equivalent to Private First Class / Gefreiter). The insignia features a single V-shaped band of bright silver-grey aluminum wire tress displaying the correct, intricate diamond-pattern weave with subtle black edging threads.
The chevron is factory machine-sewn with textbook straight stitching onto a crisp, inverted triangular jet-black woolen backing. The reverse displays the correct, thin rayon-blend backing fabric typical of wartime factory assembly.
