An extraordinary pair of original WWII German Waffen-SS sleeve rank chevrons (Armwinkel) for the rank of SS-Rottenführer (Corporal). These pieces display an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after material configuration engineered specifically for the Waffen-SS Mountain Troops (Gebirgsjäger). The insignia features bright silver-grey aluminum tress executed in the correct Waffen-SS diamond-weave (Rautenmuster) structure. True to SS regulations, the tress features a deeply contrastive, factory-woven black center dividing line separating the two chevrons. The outer edges of the tress are woven with a subtle, distinct light-green thread border, indicating the official Waffenfarbe for the Gebirgsjäger. Mounted onto a crisp, dark woolen triangular backing, both pieces are in flawless, unissued mint condition with raw, factory-sharp edges.
