An original, matching pair of textbook WWII German Air Force (Luftwaffe) sleeve rank chevrons (Armwinkel) for the rank of Gefreiter (Private First Class). The insignias feature a single V-shaped band of bright silver-grey NCO tress, displaying the correct, distinct Luftwaffe dotted/stipple-weave pattern finished with dark-tinted edge threads.
The tress bands are factory-mounted onto a crisp, dark-tinted woolen backing. One chevron remains completely flat as cut from the roll, while the other has been period-folded into its final shape by the tailor, ready for uniform application. Sourced directly from the recently discovered German tailor's archive (Schneider-Bestand), both pieces are in flawless, unissued mint condition.
