WWII German Unmarked KS98 Dress Bayonet with Scabbard
An original, pristine WWII German short-pattern dress or parade bayonet (Kurzes Seitengewehr KS98), privately purchased for wear with the walking-out or ceremonial uniform. This exceptional piece features an unsharpened, mirror-polished blade that retains virtually all of its original factory bright finish and clean lines. The hilt retains highly crisp nickel plating throughout the pommel and crossguard, showing only minimal, normal field wear. The black checkered Bakelite grip scales remain tight and structurally sound, with only a minor, barely noticeable chip on one side. It comes complete with its original steel scabbard, which remains very clean and retains an excellent coat of its genuine black factory enamel paint finish. This textbook, unmarked manufacturer variant represents a classic and wonderfully preserved example of Third Reich formal military sidearms.
