Hitler Jugend / Deutsches Jungvolk Marschtrommel

*A Hitler Youth snare drum (German: Marschtrommel, "marching drum") was a specific type of military-style side drum used in fife and drum corps and marching bands by members of the Hitlerjugend (HJ) and its junior branch, the Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ), during the Nazi era in Germany. Function: Drums played a central, rhythmic role in the HJ's paramilitary structure, leading parades, rallies, and ceremonial processions. They were often made with a wood or metal body and featured distinctive, painted red and white or black and white diamond/triangle patterns (known as Rautenmuster) on the wooden or metal rims. This is a true survivor, a full original and untouched HJ drum in the smallest size (27CM), these are for the smallest members. Made from wood, brass and animal skin, specifically calf or goat skin. The skin has never been replaced. This tiny drum is in unrestored condition. After the war, it was a popular toy for children, and usually, not much remains. This one still comes with its original drumsticks in their pouch (quite similar as the Bayonet frog)!. Note the square recess in the drumsticks; these are used to tighten the drum.) Very good and untouched condition.
