The smallest size produced for the German M35 helmet was size 60 (referring to the shell circumference in centimeters), which accommodated a liner size of 52-53 cm.
M35 German Helmet Sizes M35 helmet shells were produced in several standard sizes, with intermediate head sizes achieved by varying the liner size. While size 60 was the smallest manufactured, it was produced in smaller numbers compared to more common sizes like 62 and 64. Larger sizes, such as 70 and 72, were also manufactured but are considered very rare.
This item:
A rare Double Decal M35 steel helmet in the smallest size "60". The national shield is still largely intact. The eagle was expertly removed at the time. The helmet is in good condition with its original liner, strap and drawstring. This helmet is uncleaned. The badge number is clearly legible, the maker's name is difficult to make out, but I believe it is an SE60 helmet. The 1st model liner is neatly maker-stamped and marked with the size. B&C Litzmannstadt 1937 60 / 53. A rare, untouched helmet with low production.
