a highly characterful, untouched WWII German M35 Single Decal Heer combat helmet. The shell is manufactured by the desirable maker Sächsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerke AG (SE) in size 62, matching the original interior head size 55. The reverse neck apron displays the stamped factory lot number.Originally issued in pre-war smooth apple-green paint, this helmet reflects true front-line modifications, showcasing a contemporary, matte field-applied "Rautarn" (rough-textured) sand-infused camouflage overpaint. The textbook Wehrmacht Heer eagle decal remains partially visible on the left side, showing great combat appeal, while the national tricolor shield on the right was covered during wartime camouflage regulations.The interior remains complete with its early, unreinforced aluminum liner band featuring the distinctive square/angular chinstrap clips. The leather liner shows honest service wear and age, displaying a clear head size "55" stamp alongside a prominent, large factory inspection ink stamp on the reverse leather rim. A fantastic, completely original and untouched combat-modified M35 helmet with great front-line character.
