Hitler Youth Breadbag with Strap & Early Pattern Canteen Set Description A very attractive, historically matching field equipment set comprising an original Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) / Deutsches Jungvolk breadbag (Brotbeutel) and its corresponding early-pattern canteen (Feldflasche).The breadbag is the classic two-compartment variant tailored from olive-drab canvas fabric. Crucially, this piece comes complete with its original, matching canvas shoulder carrying strap, an accessory that is highly sought after and frequently missing from wartime field gear pieces. All metal dish buttons, steel D-rings, and belt attachment loops remain intact.Accompanying the breadbag is an early-period canteen in exceptional condition. It features a clean felt cover secured by vroege black-painted snap fasteners. The light brown leather harness is fully intact and pliable, utilizing an early-pattern buckle marked with the characteristic triple-cross (xxx) manufacturer design. The aluminum drinking cup is unmarket—a common period variant—and remains in mint condition.
