Mint Unissued Luftschutz Gladiator Helmet Shell

WW2 German Luftschutz M38 "Gladiator" helmet shell in spectacular, unissued factory condition. The helmet retains virtually all of its original dark blue-black factory paint with an outstanding untouched patina. This particular piece is a textbook "depot find" that never left the factory line: it was never fitted with a front decal, and the liner was never installed, leaving the split-pin holes completely clean, crisp, and empty. Stamped sharply into the rear inner rim is the official RLM (Reichsluftfahrtministerium) approval code L 239/26, indicating production associated with the Eisenhüttenwerke Thale factories. An exceptional and pure manufacturing variation, offering a rare look into mid-to-late war German helmet production. A premium display piece for the advanced collector.
