Medical Services Signals Specialist Sleeve Patch

Medical Services Signals Specialist Sleeve Patch - Cornflower Blue Embroidery on Wool. An authentic, unissued German army signal operator's proficiency arm patch (Tätigkeitsabzeichen für Nachrichtenpersonal). This highly uncommon variation is constructed on a dark green badge-cloth wool base, featuring a tightly machine-embroidered lightning bolt (Blitz) in distinct cornflower/light blue thread (Kornblumenblau). The light blue embroidery denotes a radio operator or signals specialist assigned directly to the Sanitätstruppe (Medical Services), allowing the attached communication personnel to display their technical trade while conforming to the medical branch's mandatory Waffenfarbe.
The reverse of the patch retains its original, fully intact white canvas/mesh fabric factory backing material. This textbook textile layer stabilized the wool backing during the high-tension machine embroidery process and remains standard for unissued period insignia. The badge is in immaculate, mint condition with crisp edges, no fading to the light blue rayon thread, and zero moth damage. Sourced directly from the recently discovered German tailor's archive (Schneider-Bestand).
