WWII German Luftschutz 'Gladiator' Helmet - RL2-40/2 Marked & Inliner Intact
An outstanding, original WWII German Luftschutz three-piece 'Gladiator' pattern civil defense helmet. Sourced directly from Germany, this example retains nearly all of its original dark satin-blue/black factory paint. The front features a crisp, highly intact silver winged Luftschutz organizational decal. The interior is complete with its original brown leather multi-pad liner, size-stamped '54', alongside its factory-attached leather chin strap. Crucially, the rear inner skirt boasts excellent markings, featuring a sharp RL2-40/2 manufacturer stamp for Eisenhüttenwerke Thale, a clear "Höchstpreis Rmk 8.-" retail price stamping, and a fully legible "Vertrieb genehmigt gemäß §8 Luftschutzgesetz" authorization transfer. A very honest, textbook, and untouched home front display helmet.
