An original, solid-struck aluminum commemorative event badge (Tagungsabzeichen / Tinnie) issued for National Labor Day on May 1st, 1936 (Tag der Arbeit). Designed by artist Richard Klein, the circular obverse intricately details a German national eagle holding a swastika wreath, layered over a wheeled farmer's plough, a heavy industrial riveting hammer, and a broadsword. The reverse remains entirely untouched and complete with its original, functional horizontal safety pin mechanism set within the factory-crimped backing. It prominently displays a clean, raised manufacturer mark reading "FR. OSSENBERG & CO., G.M.B.H., DAHLE (KR. ALTENA)", identifying production by Friedrich Ossenberg & Co. based in Dahle. The badge is preserved in a wonderful, uncleaned state showcasing crisp, sharp details and a classic matte silver-wash patina.
